Enrique Alcat (Pamplona, Spain, March 6, 1962 − February 6, 2014) was a consultant specialized in executive training, corporate communications, spokespersons and crisis management. He was a graduate in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Navarra University, PDD from IESE and partner of the Executive Directors Association of Dircom. He conducted more than 200 communication campaigns for all kinds of economic fields and has took part in more than 100 crisis management processes.

As a regular lecturer, he gave over 400 seminars and trained over 5000 executives from multinationals or SMB. He was a member of the group BBC Conferenciantes, the most important speakers’s agency in Spanish. He took active part in a number of meetings, such as Expomanagement, Salón Capital Humano, IIR Spain,  Especial Directivos, Expopyme, Manager Forum, Salón Miempresa y Meeting You.

He worked for three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as the chief of communication and corporate image. He was also employed by Weber Shandwick International, an international consultancy in communication and public relations, where he was the manager of communication and the director of the Executive Training Seminars.

Enrique Alcat was one of the Top Ten Business Experts. He was the director of the Postgraduate Program of Communication at the Instituto de Empresa Business School, and a professor in the Master’s Program in Political and Corporate Communication of the University of Navarra and the Master’s Program in Communication Management at the Escuela de Administración de Empresas de Barcelona.

As a journalist, he worked for Diario de Navarra, La Vanguardia, Cambio 16, and Tiempo. He published over 5000 articles and 1200 interviews to distinguished personalities. Moreover, he contributed to economic media with columns about Management, Corporate Communication and Crisis Management.

In 2009 his first book was released: Seis recetas para superar la crisis (Alienta). After that, he published with Empresa Activa Y ahora ¿qué? –  Claves para gestionar una crisis y salir fortalecido, the best sold book about communication and crisis strategy in Spanish. In 2012, he gathered his knowledge and experience about communication and influence in his essay Influye, where he explained in a practical way useful tools to make neat speeches and achieve positive persuasion.
