Great success of Cinder, by Marisa Meyer, during its first week!

Author: Monday 9 January 2012

Cinder, the first book of The Lunar Chronicles, by Marisa Meyer, has been chosen as one of the best teen books at Amazon.com. The novel, which was launched in the US January the 3rd, is having a wonderful feed back among the American press.

In Spain iot will be avalable during this year, published in Spanish by Random House Mondadori and in Catalan by Grup 62.

“It's clear from the first page in this inventive and fast-moving novel that 16-year-old Cinder isn't your average princess in the making…. readers will be cheering for this extremely likable cyborg and eagerly awaiting “Cinder's” sequel.” Los Angeles Times

“Prince Charming among the cyborgs…There is great sport to be had in transporting an old story to a new setting, and Marissa Meyer seems to have enjoyed every bit of the conceit in “Cinder”a sci-fi adaptation of “Cinderella.”” The Wall Street Journal

“Thanks to Marissa Meyer, Cinderella is getting the cyborg treatment. Fairy tales are becoming all the rage, with the TV shows Once Upon a Time andGrimm spinning them through a modern filter. The 26-year-old Meyer's debut novel Cinder, though, combines a classic folk tale with hints of The Terminator and Star Wars in the first book of The Lunar Chronicles young-adult series due out Jan. 3.” USA Today.com

“Cinderella is a cyborg in this futuristic take on the fairy tale, the first book in Ms. Meyer's planned ‘Lunar Chronicles’ series.” Wall Street Journal

Martí Gironell triumphed in Sant Jordi, it already is known by all and it occupied the position of the third book most sold in Catalan, published by Columna. though it did not stop selling copies in Spanish of the precious edition published by SUMA, which was re-edited, and we hope that in the fair of Madrid, whom EL ARQUEÓLOGO has not read, it is one of that want to buy. Also we have had feedback of some Catalan bookshops, which us have informed that Martí continues selling after Sant Jordi and in the Bookshop Gavina, it was most sold. So if you havent still read the adventures of the Father Ubach, our Indiana Jones, you do not hesitate to buy it because it will be a very entertaining summer reading.
