Another fantastic new is that P.S. BE ELEVEN of Rita William Garcia, has won the Coretta Scott King Book Award recognizing the merits of an African American author and illustrator of children’s books.

Also, the book Nelson Mandela, illustrated and written by Kadir Nelson won the Coretta Scott King Book Award.

The book “Niño Wrestles the world”, illustrated and written by Yuyi Morales and published by Roaring Book Press has received the Pura Belpré (illustrator) Award.
