He has a degree in Sciences from the University of Navarra, Master in Business Administration from the University of Deusto, Diploma in International Business Management from INSEAD of France and Doctor in Psychology from the University of Barcelona. He was the first to introduce the MBSR program in Spain in 2004.
When Andrés became interested in Stress Reduction through Mindfulness or Full Consciousness, he trained at the Massachusetts University Medical Center (USA) and obtained the degree of Certified Instructor in MBSR. He currently combines teaching and consulting with research in Mindfulness and Stress Reduction, for which he received the REIDE Research Award from the Kovacs Foundation.
He is co-founder of the ESMINDFULNESS INSTITUTE (www.esmindfulness.com) and President of the National Association of MBSR Instructors (www.mbsr-instructores.org).
He is also the author of several scientific studies and three books on Mindfulness, the latest PlenaMente, Mindfulness and the Art of Being Present, ed. Planeta, 2015.
