LA COMPANYIA NÒRDICA
Albert Villaró, who in 1997 was municipal archivist at the Headquarters, received, as a pledge from the widow of a palette collector of antiques, the diary of a Prussian soldier who participated in the first Carlist war, Ulrich von Wilamovitz, botanist and violinist. The notebook describes the incredible events that took place during the terrible spring of 1837. He lived them with some very unique fellow travellers: Captain Osinalde, Father Cebrià, a monk who had fled from Montserrat, or the enigmatic Mina, who acted as his guide. And also the sanguine Porredon, the Ros de Eroles, the prince Lichnowsky and Mary Eyre, correspondent of war of the Pennsylvania Enquirer.
The Nordic Company is a fantastic and surprising novel, tinged with humor and action, in which science and the darkest arcana share a unique, disturbing and beautiful setting: the rugged mountains of the Pyrenees.
