OLIVER ENSENYAT, ANTONI
He was born on June 9, 1968, in Pollença, Mallorca. He has always been connected to the sea because his family are fishermen. At the age of thirteen, he began sailing, and years later he participated in regattas. He has made several crossings through the Mediterranean and crossed the Atlantic by sailing. His other passion is music. He plays the saxophone and is part of to a Jazz group, Los Springtime Jam.
He graduated in English at the University of Barcelona and has spent most of his life teaching, which is what he’s doing currently.
His novels are usually located in the sea and revolve around the history of navigation. He began writing in 2001 and his first novels (worthy of literary prizes) were written for children and young people and some have been mandatory in several highschools for more than ten years.
