LUCERO, JOSÉ ANTONIO
José Antonio Lucero (1988) has a degree in History (2012) and teaches Social Sciences and Literature at Secondary School. In 2013 he graduated from the Master in Creative Writing at the University of Seville and worked as an ortho-typographic proofreader at the University’s publishing house. Linked to Literature and writing since childhood, he is the author of the novel “Mariela, 1972. Un asesinato en Rota“, self-published in 2012.
His innovative profile as a blogger and youtuber has led him to be considered an educational influencer today. Since 2016, he has published educational videos about History and Literature on his YouTube channel “La cuna de Halicarnasso”, which has more than 70,000 subscribers and 4.5 million total views. For this reason, he collaborates with several publishers related to the world of education as promoter of the pedagogical model “Flipped Classroom”, which is considered one of the pioneers in Spain. In 2018 he won the Día de Rota Award 2018 for his teaching and literary work. In the same year, he was finalist in the XXIII Premio de Novela Ateneo Joven de Sevilla with the novel “La llave de Navit”.
